5 Most Popular Sexy Wrist Tattoos Designs For Women

A sexy wrist tattoo, especially inner wrist, is one of the most popular tattoo trends right now for women. Simply because it is just a cute little tattoo on the inner wrist that most of the time like a piece of jewelry will enhance your outer look. As you're here, I'm going to give you a couple bits of advice that I've learned from my good friend, a tattooist, Mark, about wrist tattoos for girls. The key to getting a great tattoo that fits your body is being creative, also follow your heart and don't let anybody's opinion affect your decision.

1. Star tattoos

As you may know, all the star tattoo designs are really popular not only for women but also for men. However, as for the wrist tattoos, a star design would fit your feminine style perfectly as for its size and definition. A star tattoo can represent a hope, striving to achieve your goal to a shinning, bright side of your life. A shooting star tattoos can symbolize a special moment or event that change your life while a nautical star tattoos represent protection and guidance. Moon star tattoos also a good choice for the sexiness designs.

2. Script tattoos

Script tattoos can be a famous saying or quote from a poem, song, or movie that you really like to remember. Some examples are like: love, hate, dreams are dreams... To make it a little more mystical, you can always get them writing in some foreign languages such as Arabic, Latin, Japanese, or Sanskrit

3. Flower tattoos

There are so many different kinds of flower tattoos and each of them has different symbolism. It's all up to your taste on what kind of flower tattoo design to choose. I personally like the hibiscus flower tattoos or also known as the Hawaiian flower tattoos for its sexy look. Hawaiian flower often symbolize short life so it somewhat saying enjoy the moment while it last, life is short. Red rose represent love, sunflower is strength, forget-me-not is hope and memories, cherry blossom is just cute.

4. Kissing lips

Bring the sexy back with a pair of pink/red lips. I have to say this design is really popular these days, often very common. Lips are often viewed as a symbol of sensuality and sexuality. Though lips are used in many different ways, when thinking out lips, we tend to think about intimacy and sex.

5. Bracelet tattoo

Many women choose a bracelet tattoo due its sexy looking. Wrapping around the wrist, this tattoo design is attractive and standout easily. You can also be a little more creative by combine this with the Celtic knot band or barbed wired for more interesting tattoo designs.

There's a time when you have to decide which tattoo is going to stay with you and I hope these couple tips here can help you out.

Wrist Tattoo - How To Find the Perfect Tattoo Design For You

The popularity of the wrist tattoo is on the rise as shown by the number of top celebrities getting them. There are many types of wrist tattoos including stars, words, and wrist bands. The wrist is a great location for a tattoo that you can hide or show off as you choose. What an ideal spot for your favorite saying or symbol.

Types Of Wrist Tattoo Designs

The most common location is the inside of the wrist. They are very popular because it is easier to hide an inner wrist tattoo. Some folks like to have their wrist tattoo on top of their wrist in combination with a tattoo sleeve or hand tattoos. Even more daring is a tattoo that encircles the wrist like a bracelet. A tattoo of this type is just like an armband tattoo but much lower. Pink has "What Goes Around Comes Around" and "TRU LUV" circling her right wrist. Peaches Geldof has a crucifix tattoo around her left wrist.

Nautical stars and words are probably the most used wrist tattoos. Wrist band tattoos are usually celtic knots or barbed wire. In addition to english words both kanji and sanskrit are often used. Women sometimes get flowers, hearts, or kissing lips tattoos.

Getting A Wrist Tattoo

Are they painful to get? You would expect so since there is little to cushion the needle in the wrist area, but most people with tattoos say no. Also since the wrist area is exposed, healing time can be longer and touching up may be required down the road too. In addition, 25% regret their tattoo decision after the fact so consider this before you get one.

You will most likely need to keep it hidden while at work. Unless you want to wear long sleeves all the time, a great trick is to make sure a wristwatch can cover it. After hours you can uncover and show off your ink all you want to your hearts desire.

Celebrities With Wrist Tattoos

A growing number of top celebrities sport wrist tattoos. Nicole Ritchie has inner wrist tattoos of a red shooting star on her left wrist and the word "virgin" on her right. Lindsay Lohans wrist tattoo is the word "breathe" in white and located on her right wrist and a small star tattoo on inside left wrist. Britney Spears has a lips tattoo. Jessica Alba has a Sanskrit character for lotus flower on her wrist. Ashlee Simpson has a star tattoo and a "love" tattoo. Orlando Bloom's wrist tattoo is of the Elvish word for "nine". All nine of the "Lord of the Rings Fellowship of the Ring" actors have this same tattoo to celebrate their participation in the films.

After you have done your homework then you will be ready to get some ink. Emulate your favorite actress or celebrity or come up with something completely original. These tattoos are an extremely popular type so join the in crowd and get one soon.

MODERN TRIBAL TATTOO

A good option for those wanting a tribal design, yet also wanting some sort of modern design, or for those wanting a strong tattoo which combines various styles, can be to combine both modern and tribal into one tattoo. This can be done with equal emphasis, or with more emphasis on one style and less on the other.

Matter of fact many individuals have taken their existing tattoo's and have elaborated on them by adding tribal design to the outsides. The tattoo becomes more pronounced and the tribal tattooing can serve as a sort of frame for the older tattoo.

This can be done with a more modern tattoo as well with great results. Take your modern design and envision it surrounded, or framed, by tribal. Have it drawn out to see how they work together. Pick a good design that will work well alongside the tribal design. And be sure to pick a large enough design. Heavy tribal designs can bury designs if there not large enough.

Or your design could be incorporate more tribal so it stands on it's own, not just acting as an outer frame.

Generally it's best to incorporate more modern design styles to tribal tattoo's. Taking an old school tattoo and adding tribal doesn't always work, and strays away from the strength of the traditional look. An nude lady old school sailor tat for instance, stands strong on it's own. Mixing tribal in the mix could be a major mismatch. But you can try experimenting with different traditional styles and see if something does work for you personally.

Music Note Tattoos and Other Musician Favorites

Whether it's part of the rebellious image or a part of their larger penchant for artistic self-expression, musicians have long been associated with some of the most intricate and boldest tattoos around. Music note tattoos, tattoos of instruments and artwork that commemorates particular successes or pieces of music have been perennial favorites among this subculture. Most musicians sport tattoos that rather reflect the genre with which they're most associated. This means that a lot of black, skulls and other cutting-edge symbolism is usually found on the hard rockers and that the hip-hop crowd tends toward ornate lettering and other characteristic symbols of urban culture.

Most musicians opt to get tattooed in areas where the artwork will be easily visible when they're on stage. For those who play instruments, this usually means the arms. As crowds are naturally drawn toward watching the body movements of a performer, this is generally a very logical place to locate one's most significant artwork and a good way to show off those tattoos, and not only music note tattoos, of which one is the most proud. Of course, some performers are notable for wearing less clothing than others and this certainly allows for more displaying of one's artwork.

As musicians are artistic individuals, they tend toward very ornate designs or adaptations of popular themes which they make all their own. Tribal tattooing, the long, elegant black lines which intertwine around one another, has been very popular with musicians, particularly with the heavy metal and rock crowd. Some musicians sport passages from their favorite songs or stanzas from poems with which they strongly identify. Oftentimes, a musician's tattoos serve the same purpose as many people's tattoos: They identify that individual as a member of a special part of society; and individual who possesses a particular skill and occupation which few can boast.

Music note tattoos have always been popular. One need not, however, restrict one's tattoos in this vein to the common forms of notation most frequently seen today. There have been various systems of musical notation used throughout the ages and, oftentimes, these systems present an elegant alternative to the norm. The notation used in early western music, for instance, evokes the ancient cathedrals where monks practiced Gregorian chant and can be transformed into a work of art that communicates a great deal about the individual who bears it. The notation systems used by non-western cultures are oftentimes works of art in and of themselves and make an excellent addition to one's body art.

Musicians will likely always be among the most tattooed individuals in society. Their occupation allows them almost complete freedom in this regard and while the tattoos musicians bear have evolved from simple India ink line tattoos to very detailed and colorful works of art, the association of the ancient practices of tattoo art and music will likely always be intertwined in some way. Whether it's on the arms, on the chest or even on the head, musicians are oftentimes the vanguards of new tattoo styles.

Tattoos of Crosses

Tattoos of Crosses: Cultural and Spiritual

Crosses possibly have more meanings than any other well-known symbol. Some designs have the obvious religious association and others have meanings which are more rooted in culture and ethnic identity. There are cross designs which carry with them military associations and some which are very much associated with outlaw culture. There are versions which are associated with various supremacist groups, as well. This is one of the most powerful symbols in Western culture and, when considering adding one to one's tattoo work, one should investigate diligently the meaning of these various devices.

Religious crosses are the first and most obvious incarnations of these designs. It is the most recognized symbol of the Christian faith and more followers are opting to have this device added to their bodies, usually in a conspicuous spot such as on the arm. Women have these tattoos added to their bodies as well, usually in a more discreet location. Designs intended to communicate devotion usually feature other symbols familiar to the associated religion such as archangels, fire, lines of scripture and other personal expressions of one's belief. Crosses tattooed on in this fashion tend to be among the most meaningful tattoos their wearers bear.

Some crosses are very much associated with a certain nation or an ethnic group and may or may not have any religious meaning to them. The Celtic cross is an excellent example of such a symbol that usually has both meanings. These crosses feature a circle which surrounds the interior of the cross and they generally have very ornate Celtic "knot" designs around the interior. This symbol is one of the most recognized devices used by those of Celtic descent and is generally appealing to most individuals. The synergy represented by this device makes it an interesting tattoo to wear.

There are crosses which are associated with outlaw culture. Foremost among these is the Iron Cross. This symbol has become associated with bikers, particularly those who belong to the "1%er" gangs. This may or may not be a good tattoo for some individuals. While this tattoo does have an association with being a rebel, it is also a former military decoration given to those who served in the German military during the First and Second World Wars. This may make this tattoo very unappealing to those who associate it with this time period and the ideology with which that time is associated.

Tribal crosses are an excellent way to add the geometric distinctiveness of a cross to one's body without adding any particular meaning. These abstract designs may or may not mean something specific to the bearer. They happen to look very appealing which is oftentimes the main reason that people have these tattoos. Other popular and more esoteric designs include the Knights Templar cross, a standard cross with one extra horizontal line near the top. This tattoo has interesting historical connotations and was the symbol of the elite knights who fought in the crusades and who protected pilgrims.

Celebrity Tattoos - Fred Durst

Limp Bizkit has decided to get back together and put aside their difference and make a new album that will drop sometime this year. They have decided to get back together and put out another album because they feel there is no good music out right now. One thing is for sure, Limp Bizkit's front man Fred Durst has a huge love for tattoos. Before his metal/hip hop band, Limp Bizkit made it big Fred actually worked as a tattoo artist. This probably explains why Fred has so many tattoos. It is unclear to exactly how many tattoos Fred has, he had nearly half of his body covered in them. He has both arms completely sleeved, half of his back done, some of his chest, as well as one on his neck, one on his hand and a few on his legs.

Below is a list of a few of Fred's tattoos:

1. A very large angle design on his back

2. A fairly large flower tattoo on the back of his neck

3. Some sort of spiral design on his left leg.

4. Two black x's on his middle right finger.

5. The Mona Lisa on the inside of his upper right arm

6. A portrait of Kurt Cobain and Elvis Presley on the left side of his chest

7. A moutain with the sun coming up from behind it on the top of his right shoulder

8. Barb wire around his right bicep

9. A fairly large portrait of Albert Einstein on his right calf

It is safe to say that Fred will be constantly adding to his tattoo collection.

Adding Different Design Elements to Fairy Tattoos

Fairy tattoos are among the most common tattoos that women choose to get placed on various parts of their bodies. In order for these tattoos to express the significant meaning that these women want to express, it is often important to them that they include more than just a simple design. Incorporating other design elements including everything from flowers to fashion designs can make one woman's tattoo stand out from all of the others in the crowd. Since body art is supposed to be an individual's tool for self-expression, this type of differentiation is really important to most people.

Although there are many different ways that these designs can be added to in order to change their original design, there are actually some ways that are more common than others. Adding flowers is an example of something that is commonly done but which can be done in such a way that the individuality of the tattoo isn't lost. Flowers that are incorporated into the art can have special meanings to the wearer. For example, the flower may be the flower that represents the birth month of the wearer. Or a chain of different flowers may represent the birth months of the wearer's children. Although the addition of the flower itself is common, the way in which it is included in the design can make it more personal.

Of course, there are also more dramatic or different ways to alter all sorts of body art so that they appear more unique. Some people choose to use the design of a fairy only loosely to create an image that more accurately represents who they are. The image dressed up in dark gothic clothing would be one example of how the design may be changed to personalize it without changing the fact that it is still a fairy tattoo. Another example would be to depict the image dressed up in haute couture fashions or holding accessories that are more modern and less magical than most traditional images would be.

Speaking of holding things is yet another way that the design can be easily changed so that they represent more of the individuality of the person who is going to be wearing the art. It can be depicted holding almost any item. The person who is looking at fairy tattoos may want to think about what items or symbols are most important to them and see if there is a way that the creation could be holding these items in the design. If the image is large enough, it could represent something important to the wearer such as a favorite piece of jewelry or the name of a loved one.

These are just a few of the ways that body art can be improved upon in order to make them different from what every other woman out there with a fairy tattoo has tattooed on her body. They are certainly common enough now that people are going to draw from a well of some of the same symbols to get inspiration for their designs. Despite this, the tattoo remains a highly personal work of art that is worn on the body for reasons of self-expression. Altering fairy tattoos in ways either small or large can help maintain the important uniqueness of the body art.

Girl Tattoos - Small and Cute Tattoo Designs Girls Love

Girls who would like to go for their first tattoo should definitely go for small and cute designs. Since they are tat newbies, big and bold imagery are not yet advisable at this stage of their tattoo journey. Tattoos are permanent so a great way to test if its for them is to go for miniature tattoos that look great as well.

Small and cute tattoo designs that are popular with girls are butterflies, heart, star and flowers. These are images that girls can always relate to. They are not only attractive as body art but they are meaningful as well. Moreover, they have flexible and versatile as tattoo designs as well and would look interesting when inked beautifully by a reliable and professional tattoo artist.

When it comes to choice of locations, there are several options to go for. The foot, ankle and wrist and superb body parts to go for when it comes to small designs. However these areas are more painful since there are less fats in those areas so less padding from the ink during the tattooing process. So if pain is an issue, one can always go for the flesher areas to lessen the pain, these are the arm, shoulder blade, back and thigh part.

Aside from tattoo design and location, one very important factor that a girl has to consider is the tattoo studio that she will have it done. Its mandatory that she check the studio first before committing. Make sure that its sanitary, reliable and the artists are professional and well-trained. The success of your tat depends on your tattoo artist so don't take these things for granted.

Word Tattoos - Short Quotes, Song Lyrics and Meaningful Sayings As Texts For Tattoo Designs

If you are so proud of your motto, then why not share it to the whole world. Or if you are going through a period of change in your life and you want to constantly be reminded of that commitment, you can afford to have a reminding system installed on your skin.

Words are wonderful ways for you to express your innermost desires and dreams. And since you go out to the real world everyday, why not have that message printed on your skin in ink?

You can come up with any kind of word tattoo. The best thing about this kind of tattoo is that there is less chance of you having the same tattoo as anyone else because you can pretty much come up with your own saying. However, getting a line from your favorite movie or song works well also. Don't worry, not everyone will have the same favorite line as you.

You can even take a cue from these famous personalities from Hollywood.

Angelina Jolie

When it comes to tattoos, no one can ever beat Angelina Jolie with more or less 12 tattoos adorning her amazing body. One of her famous tattoos includes that of an incantation written in Khmer on the back of her shoulder.

David Beckham

Hailed as the hottest king of the field, Beckham isn't shy about being a father. In fact, he has the names of his sons, Brooklyn and Romeo, tattooed on his back.

Britney Spears

One lesson when tattooing spouses' names on any part of your body is the fact that things might not work out right. Learn that lesson from Britney who has her ex, Kfed, tattooed on her body.

Do Your Research on a Tattoo Artist

If you are a tattoo virgin and do not have a tattoo artist that you regularly go to then you should most definitely do your research on a tattoo artist. There are hundreds of tattoos artists out there but some are better than others. For instance some tattoo artists specialize in certain kinds of tattoos. Take portrait tattoos, these tattoos are very hard to do. Not just any one can draw a picture of a real live person on your skin. This kind of tattoo takes a lot of training and experience. Portrait tattoos are one of the most difficult to do and not ever tattoo artist can pull them off.

So if you have your heart set on getting a portrait tattoo do your research first and talk to your artist and see if they feel comfortable doing one. Also don't be shy, look through their tattoo book of people they have tattooed before. Not only will this ease your mind that they are competent but it will also give you an idea of what kind of tattoo they excel at. If your artist does not feel comfortable doing a portrait tattoo then don't be afraid to ask them to recommend someone they feel would do the job better. More than likely there will be someone in the tattoo shop that specializes in these tattoos so you won't have to leave to comfort of your tattoo shop. If no one has experience with them in the shop simply ask for a recommendation of another artist.

Just remember when trying to find a tattoo artist you need to make sure you see pictures of their work or know someone who has been tattooed by them. There is nothing worse than getting a bad quality tattoo.
